14 ways to spot a Call of Duty player in Battlefield 3

July 8 Comments off

We love Call of Duty multiplayer, and we’ve got nothing against those who play it, occasional screaming matches with Belgian teenagers notwithstanding. But there’s no denying that Activision’s online community (reportedly the “best in the world”) has its… peculiarities. Peculiarities that might be gently mocked for shizzles and gizzles. Read more…

Batman Arkham City Game Review

July 4 Comments off

If you played Batman: Arkham Asylum and liked it then you are going to love Batman: Arkham City. It is the sequel of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Its gameplay is set one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. In the game, North Gotham has become a place for all criminals. As Batman, you have to bring some sort of peace. Its thrilling gameplay and a number of side-quests makes it a really awesome game.

The gameplay of Batman: Arkham City is mostly about combat, stealth and exploring Arkham City. The atmospheric setting of the game makes it really fun to play and the experience of playing this game is just mind-blowing. If you think that PC games are not fun, then you have to play this game. It will change your opinion of playing games.

The combat system of Batman: Arkham City is one of the best in the world. Unlike Arkham Asylum, you can use all of Batman’s gadgets during combat. As in Arkham Asylum, the method to attack and counter-attack is the same. However, when your enemies possess weapons such as stun guns and shields, the combat becomes more challenging as you will have to apply more combos and use gadgets. What is really more amazing is the slow-motion close-up whenever you finish off an enemy.

Planning attacks against the enemies is also an awesome experience. You can use the ‘detective mode’ to see what weapons your enemies have, where they are situated, what routes you can use to attack them and much more. You can also attack them stealthily by hanging onto a gargoyle or sneak up on them from behind. When you reach a certain level, you get a new gadget, the disruptor, which will let you remotely disable your enemy’s gun. Arkham City also gives you the option to use a smoke pellet to cover up your escape and also leave your enemies fighting each other in confusion. Playing Arkham City on a PC does not reduce the fun of attacking the enemy and you can still have an awesome experience.

However, the combat is still not so easy. You have to be very careful when planning an attack on the enemies and consider all the routes. Even a slightest mistake can take you back to your latest checkpoint. However, this also increases the fun of the game and you will feel that you are really Batman.

The graphics of the game is also breathtaking. The combat scenes are depicted in such an awesome manner that you will carve for more, especially the close-ups of your final attacks. You can grapple onto ledges and soar through the city. It is one of the most exciting aspects of this game. The graphics of Batman: Arkham City is unlike any other PC game. It will make you feel like you are really in the game.

There’s just one downside to the game. The boss fights look amazing but in reality, they are just too easy. You can easily defeat the boss but sometimes, the context-sensitive buttons will make you lose. For instance, you might want to attack an enemy from behind, but you accidentally press some other key and you are killed by gunfire.

Overall, Batman: Arkham City is one of the most thrilling PC games and you just can’t stop wanting to play it just because of one drawback. The other aspects of the game will make you want to play this game again and again and trust me, you won’t get bored. In fact, you’ll love it. This is the type of game that you should and must buy.

Logitech G11 Keyboard Review

June 18 Comments off

“Oh, my god! This is an enormous keyboard” was the very first expression of mine when I saw the box of Logitech G11 keyboard. Impressively it was a giant keyboard with 21.5” length and 10.25” width, but has a cool and attractive look.

With the significant design of Logitech G11, it includes 18 macro keys which of the each held 3 modes and so it offers the capability of 54 extra keys besides the 104 standard keys. As this High-tech featured keyboard gives us 54 additional key functions, your curiosity may compel you to read this review and for sure the time you spend here will never be a waste. Latest version of the Logitech gamers’ keyboard or the advanced version of Logitech G11 will be released in near future, but unfortunately at a high price level.

Simply, Logitech G11 is a keyboard which was specially designed for gamers and power users. This gaming keyboard has a unique design with the keys of high quality, provides an excellent gaming experience. Not only the size of the keys, but also the positions of the keys, enhance the effectiveness and the efficiency as well. If there is a keyboard which created almost with perfect key functions, this is it. This Logitech G11 fulfills two main requirements of a gaming keyboard that 100% accurate functionality and extra comfort. These two key features directly impact to improve your consciousness in gaming nature. Another specialty is that the blue backlighting effect which helps you to play the games or perform any process while you are in the dark and this cool and awesome feature definitely helps you to enjoy the gaming nature in dark.

Macro keys, the main feature of Logitech G11, were named as “G keys” and in the top of the keyboard there are some media keys. When you go through the keys, you will observe the lack of the media keys which are useless and the G keys can be functioned in multimedia purposes too. As the quick launch buttons induce the laziness, Logitech G11 developers haven’t included them in the keyboard and the other interesting feature is that you can disable the standard function keys such as Right Selection key and Windows key in order to prevent the accidentally quit yourself from the game. Three backlight levels as off, low and high can be adjusted by using the backlight button which placed on the right side of the keyboard and near that button you will find the mute button as well.

The first and foremost gaming experience which I had with this Logitech G11 was experienced on Red Dead Redemption. When I play the game, I feel the difference because the keys don’t click or clack and they are not too stiff or too soft. Also the playing game was quite enjoyable than before and I was able to play the game with smooth and very comfortable as this Logitech G11 keyboard was specially designed for gamers. When we discuss about its design, its weight also higher than the normal keyboards and the weight of 3.9 lbs helps to prevent the movements of the keyboard while playing a game. Logitech G11 keyboard’s accurate functioning and quick responsiveness was significantly enhanced the gaming experience of mine and I think it was the best gaming experience which I ever had.

Logitech G11 was designed with a USB 2.0 hub, but USB 1.1 unpowered port was placed in the back panel of the keyboard and so you don’t want to consume your time in searching bandwidth of USB 2.0. Special software must be installed to configure the G keys and media keys and though this software isn’t available, the Logitech G11 keyboard functions perfectly as a normal keyboard.

Frankly, I found a minor drawback and it is that if you are not a perfect typist or a touch typist, though this Logitech G11’s backlight gives an attractive look to your PC; you can’t use the keyboard with the backlights in a lighted condition. This is because its lighting effects are not tolerable to the necked eye.

I think that the gamers are the best matching users for this Logitech G11 keyboard and non gamers also will benefit through this keyboard as this gives a magnificent attraction to the PC. I believe that if you don’t own a Logitech G11 you will definitely try your best to own a cool and attractive gaming gadget like this. If you are a first person shooter gamer (FPS gamer), you will be able to have more benefits of this keyboard when compared to a person who plays strategy games.

Don’t you think this gaming keyboard fits your style? Lets us know by comments below.

Best PC Game In 2012? List Of Most Anticipated Games Set To Release In 2012

May 4 Comments off

2012 will be releasing some highly anticipated games this year. One of the top titles has already launched in early March, that being Mass Effect 3. Here is my list of the top titles to look for once they make their mark in 2012.

Mass Effect 3
I couldn’t write this best games list without including an awesome game that has already released. Mass Effect 3 is an amazing accomplishment on Biowares part and it may likely be the last in the series. Lets hope not though.

Roleplaying: Diablo 3
Diablo 3 may very well be the leader of the pack when it comes to the BIGGEST game set to release in 2012. The long awaited sequel is set to launch on May 15, 2012. The game stirred up some recent controversy when Blizzard announced that their would be no multi-player out of the box, but would be patched at a later date. My humble opinion is that if the box has the word Diablo on it it shouldn’t effect sales.

Action: Max Payne 3
Max Payne 3 has risen from the gaming scene in recent months after years of silence about the project. The screenshots have left many people puzzled, including myself, with the protagonist(Max) looking nothing like he did in the first two games.

Strategy: Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm
As expected the next game in the beloved Starcraft series was delayed by Blizzard. Gamers like myself didn’t mind mainly because all the attention/pressure is aimed at Diablo 3 at the moment. The game is expected to introduce new units for multiplayer as well as a lengthy campaign specifically designed for the Zerg race.

First Person Shooter: BioShock Infinite
The next game in the Bioshock series is taking a new turn in it’s setting. As the original two took place well beneath the earth Infinite takes place well above it. I personally am looking forward to this because I had some harsh opinions about Bioshock 2. Bioshock 2 did not feel like a new game to me despite any of it’s differences. It felt short, and looked EXACTLY the same. I can’t say I hated it though.

Massive Multiplayer Online(MMO): TERA
Just when you thought The Old Republic buried the production of anymore Fantasy themed MMO’s, Tera is coming back into the scene as it comes nearer to release. The game had a strikingly similar resemblance to Aion, but since Aion’s plummet in player base many are now looking at Tera to be the new leader out of the Fantasy based MMORPG’s. I chose not to give the award to Guild Wars 2 because it is a free to play title.

Best OVERALL: Diablo 3
Blizzard has a big 2012 planned with a new World of Warcraft expansion as well as the new Starcraft II game. But those two games are more expansion-ish titles. With how long this game has been in production, how could Diablo 3 not be the most highly anticipated game of 2012? Let’s hope Blizzard poured everything they got into the game. Get ready for mayhem come May 15th.
